The Marketing Momentum Club

Are you spending time on the right things in your business?

As business owners, we're all busy. In fact, most of the people I speak to are working incredibly hard. But being busy and making progress aren't always the same thing.

One of the biggest reasons I see businesses lose momentum isn't because they lack ideas or motivation. It's because their time and resources aren't always being invested in the activities that will make the biggest difference.

As we're getting closer to August, ask yourself:

- Are you spending most of your week working in your business, or on your business?

- What tasks are taking up your time that someone else could do?

- Are you investing your budget in the areas most likely to generate enquiries and growth?

- Have you started saying yes to everything, instead of focusing on what really matters?

- If you looked back over the last month, would you be happy with how you've spent your time?

These are the types of conversations I've been having with business owners over the past few weeks.

Many are trying to do everything themselves. They're wearing every hat, juggling every task and wondering why they never seem to have enough hours in the day.Sometimes the challenge isn't that we need more time. It's that we need to become more intentional about where we're investing the time and resources we already have. After almost 30 years in brand and marketing, one thing has become very clear to me...The businesses that make the greatest progress are often the Founders and CEOs that are clear about their priorities and disciplined about where they focus their energy.

Today is an opportunity to pause and ask yourself one simple question:If I carried on spending my time exactly as I am today, would my business be where I want it to be by the end of the year? This is exactly what I covered recently in my Brand & Marketing Momentum Series, because sometimes the biggest breakthrough doesn't come from doing more. It comes from doing less of the wrong things and more of the right ones.
